Postgraduate resources

In addition to support provided by Schools and Departments, administrative support for taught postgraduate students registered in the Faculty of Life Sciences is provided by the Joint Faculty Office, located in the Geography building. Administrative support for postgraduate research students is provided by the University's Graduate School.
The Joint Faculty Office can help with:
- Tuition fee queries
- Degree programme and module enrolment queries
- Registration statements for banking and / or visa purposes
- Extensions and suspensions of registration
- Extenuating circumstances processes
- Other general enquiries
Support is also available from the Student Services Centre in the Carrington Building.
Graduate training in Life Sciences
The University's Graduate School runs a series of workshops and on-line courses to provide generic research and transferable skills training for postgraduate research students in Life Sciences. This supplements the subject-specific research training provided at School and Departmental level.
Student travel awards
The Arthur Hosier and Meyer Sassoon Travel Award Schemes provide part-funding for students registered in the Faculty of Life Sciences to undertake extra-curricular study travel, in the UK or overseas, which will advance their academic work. Further information is available here.

Study spaces on campus
