Mailman prefixes

Listed below are the ITS approved prefixes for departments and groups. This convention is so that we may easily establish a group identity for lists and determine who is responsible for them. This list is not exhaustive; you may apply for your own prefix to be approved. They should ideally be short (three to five characters) as that reduces the length of the email address to type, which is already lengthy due to the @lists.reading.ac.uk postfix. Exceptions may be made where they make sense, for example Catholic and readingConnect.
