Web Content Management System - Activedition

Sub Administrators

A Sub-Administrator is the main Information Provider chosen by the Head of a School, Department or other group of The University to be responsible for an Area of the website for that group.  The Sub-Administrator is normally a member of staff of the group concerned.

Sub-Administrators are appointed by the Head of the relevant group being represented.

Once chosen, Sub-Adminstrators will be provided with training and support to provide appropriate content (Development and External Affairs Office - DEAO)  and how to use Activedition (by IT Services).

Sub-Administrators have overall responsibility for maintaining a part of the University website.  Besides being responsible for layout and content, Sub-Administrators are responsible for providing appropriate access permissions for others in their group to contribute to particular pages or areas.
