Web Content Management System: Activedition

Searching

All Public pages will be indexed by external search engines and by the University Google search engine.

Web sites within the /internal areas will initially be open to searching by public search engines. However, where an Information Provider does not want the content to be searched by external search engines, this can be flagged for exclusion. If allowing external search engines to search Internal pages is found to significantly damage the quality of these searches, Internal pages could increasingly be flagged for exclusion from indexing by external search engines.

Pages and sites within the /closed areas will not be indexed for searching by external search engines or the general internal search engine.

Search your area

Each top-level area of the website can be searched independently using the search box at the top of every templated page (as this one).

However if you want to search a sub-area, you will need to insert HTML into your page.  Instructions on how to set up your own local search can be found in  Using the Google Mini Search Box
