About us

The Information Management and Policy Services office, IMPS office, is part of the Governance Directorate.

With a responsibility for development and implementation of information strategy and associated policies, the IMPS office ensures that the University complies with the Freedom of Information Act, the Environmental Information Regulations and the Data Protection Act. The IMPS office is also involved with developing and implementing policies and staff guidance on:

• Information Policy
• Records Management
• Copyright
• Intellectual Property Rights

The IMPS office also supports a number of external projects including:

• the Leadership Foundation i-opener initiative
• JCPSG - Case Study on Costing of Information Services
• EVINCE– Evaluating IT-related Change
