About the Faculty of Social Sciences
The Faculty has well-established and emerging strengths in research with a high proportion of successes in the Research Assessment Excercise and recognition from the Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC) for Postgraduate Research Training across the breadth of the Social Sciences.
Its thriving undergraduate and postgraduate degree programmes and professional development and short courses are meeting a demand for high quality academic and professional education at home and internationally and build upon links within the region encompassing the business community, local government, health and education providers.
The Faculty Office
The Faculty Office provides administrative support for the Dean and the Director of Teaching and Learning, for academic staff and for students. Its main functions are:
- Student recruitment
- Admissions
- Enrolment
- Module records
- Timetabling
- Management of the Faculty Quality Assurance processes and committees
- Answering general enquiries about the Faculty.
The Office is located in room 201 in the Humanities and Social Sciences Building on the Whiteknights campus.
