Undergraduate and Postgraduate
Change of status form (PDF Word) (These forms are to be completed by the Personal Tutor/ Programme Director of a student who wishes to: change or suspend their programme/degree course, re-enter after a withdrawal, or repeat a year/part of a programme.
Students wishing to change their degree programme should contact the Faculty Office, room 201 in the HumSS Building or email fess@reading.ac.uk
Student Representation
The Faculty Student/Staff Liaison Committee provides a formal channel for student representatives to exchange views with peers in other Schools/Departments within the Faculty.
School-level Student-Staff Committees provide a forum for students to address local issues surrounding their degree programmes and University facilities. Students are also represented at Faculty level on the Faculty Boards for Teaching and Learning and Research in the Social Sciences. The Students Union runs a scheme to encourage student representation Student Representation.
Who to Contact
For day-to-day queries, undergraduate students should contact their Personal Tutor and postgraduate students their Programme Director.
For enquiries regarding registration status, fees, extensions, visa letters, change of address, etc, undergraduate students should contact Student Services at the Carrington Building Help Desk, online via the RISIS Student Portal, or by phone on 0118 378 5555. Postgraduate students should contact the Postgraduate Office or email faspg@reading.ac.uk.
Students wishing to make a formal complaint of any sort are encouraged, in the first instance, to contact the Faculty Sub-Dean, Mr Nigel Trethewy (n.g.trethewy@reading.ac.uk)
