Social science research highlights

During the academic year 2007-08, Reading's social scientists won a total of 53 new externally funded research awards with a total value of £4.9 million. Sponsors included four Research Councils; the British Academy and the Royal Society; major research charities such as Leverhulme and Nuffield; UK government departments such as DEFRA; international organisations such as the European Commission; and a variety of specialists sponsors.
