Welcome to all International Students. We hope that you are looking forward to your time at Reading. The International Welcome Programme provides a wealth of opportunities for networking, socialising and making friends.

International Welcome Programme 2011
You are strongly encouraged to attend the International Students' Welcome Programme which begins on Friday 30 September. These are free events designed to be an introduction and welcome to all International Students who have accepted a place to study at the University of Reading.
Anyone joining the University from outside of the UK is encouraged to attend this programme. There are a number of events arranged for 30 September and 1 & 2 October including tours and social events.
You will have to pay for your Hall accommodation from the date of your arrival at Reading.
Areas covered include on-line enrolment which you should try to complete before coming to the UK.
You will also find information here about events happening within your Department during the first week as well as many other useful information sessions.

Freshers' Week
Don't forget that there is a whole week's worth of activities and events taking place during Freshers' Week. You should attend as many as you can - there are specific events for International Students within the timetable and many more which provide the opportunity for you to visit your School or Department and meet the staff who will be teaching you.
International Study and Language Centre (ISLC)
The centre specialises in the provision of academic and language programmes designed both for international students and the wider University community. The programmes, courses and facilities available through the ISLC have a long established reputation for academic excellence and student support.
The University Language Centre houses a brand new self-access centre with computers, books and recording facilities for students to practice pronunciation and access other resources.
