Teaching and learning

The Faculty of Science is committed to high quality teaching and the provision of a stimulating and exciting learning environment for its students. We are committed to the University's vision of 'providing an educational experience which is responsive to the needs of students and society within a welcoming and supportive community'.
The Faculty makes use of the University's state-of-the-art teaching spaces, laboratories and field sites to deliver its programmes in Construction, Archaeology, Geography, Environmental Sciences, Meteorology, Mathematics, Computing, Cybernetics and Electronic Engineering.
Committee structure
Faculty Board for Teaching and Learning

The Faculty Board for Teaching and Learning is responsible for the implementation of the University's Quality Assurance policies in the context of teaching and learning in the Faculty of Science, for both undergraduate and taught postgraduate degree programmes. This general remit includes ensuring uniformity of practice within the Faculty, and identifying and disseminating good practice.
