Making our teaching and learning accessible to both students and colleagues is an important aspect to keep in mind, particularly when designing new materials.

Support available Globe in hands

  • The Disability Advisory Office can advise staff on making teaching and learning materials accessible to all and their website contains useful information such as a list of the School Disability Representatives. 
  • Key principles of supporting students with disabilities
  • The University Study Advisers have a wealth of experience supporting students with Dyslexia and Dyspraxia as well as other Specific Learning Difficulties.  Their website contains some useful information and resources. 
  • The Centre for Staff Training and Development offers staff development opportunities around making teaching and learning accessible and supporting effective learning for all students.  
  • The Open University provides practical advice about teaching inclusively.
