Pathfinder: enabling enhancement

The Pathfinder process is embedded in the University's quality assurance of Teaching and Learning. The key aim of the Pathfinder approach is to support Schools through Periodic Review, moving from a focus on quality assurance to one of quality enhancement.

Underpinning the process is a framework which aims to enable Schools to:

  • drive forward enhancement strategically;
  • critically reflect upon the design, development and delivery of programmes;
  • strengthen the student voice in the process of development and review;
  • ensure greater efficiency and streamlining of processes during preparation for Periodic Review.
  • align School approaches with the University's Learning and Teaching Enhancement Priorities
