RUSU Award for Outstanding Contributions to Teaching and Learning

Overview

The RUSU Award for Outstanding Contributions to Teaching and Learning provide an opportunity for students to reward the member of staff they feel has had the greatest impact on their learning.

The Awards panel will be selecting winners from across the University, who will each receive a personal award. The panel will be composed of student representatives, members of staff and will be chaired by the Pro-Vice-Chancellor for Teaching and Learning.

The Awards panel will make its decision on the basis of what students tell us. Students are encouraged to carefully consider the reasons why they are making the particular nomination.

Please remember that as this is a competitive award nominations will be enhanced if specific example can be cited of how the nominee has significantly supported learning and progress at University. Both full-time and part-time teaching staff (e.g. lecturers) and support staff (e.g. technical support staff, postgraduate demonstrators etc.) are eligible to be nominated for an Award. Other support staff can also be considered for nomination, e.g. librarians, Study Advisers, careers and ITS support staff etc.

The winners will be selected at random and notified by email. Details will not be used for any other purpose and all completed surveys will remain strictly confidential.
