Teaching and Learning Development Fund
Overview
The purpose of the Teaching and Learning Development Fund is to enable the development of new initiatives, the enhancement of existing teaching and learning activities and the dissemination of these in fulfilment of the University's Strategy for Learning and Teaching.
The University's Teaching and Learning Enhancement Priorities 2011-2013 are:
- Managing transitions: motivating, engaging and supporting students at the outset of their studies and at key transition points
-
Opportunities for students to benefit from broad development activities and experiences
-
Opportunities for students to engage in and with research within taught programmes (to become part of the research community) and to be more actively involved in development of teaching programmes
-
Staff development, reward and recognition for contributions to teaching and learning
The TLDF is used to support the University Teaching Fellowship Scheme and the small project scheme.
