Gold Control Procedures

1. Silver escalates to Gold
2. Gold liaison with Silver
3. Assess capability of local teams to handle situation
4. Ensure that Bronze leaders remain on site to maintain emergency response
5. Support Silver in approval of additional resources
6. With Press Officemanage media response, approve all press releases
7. Alert VC, SMB, UoR, Council,HEFCE, as required
8. Consider reputation, costs, interruption time, recovery, compliance, & insurance implications
9. Identify opportunities or advantages from the incident
10. Continually assess implications of incident

• Ensure adequate evacuation & access control
• Contain incident
• Maintain event log
• Internal & external communications
• Relevant 3^rd parties notified
• Business continuity & recovery underway
