Requesting a new web presence
If you are thinking of using the web to promote your activities, you will first need to talk to the Digital Development team about your requirements. The Digital Development team is responsible for the University's digital presence, and provides advice and guidance to those creating content for the web.
We are able to help you to:
- Identify your audience and their requirements
- Identify a suitable platform (i.e. a new website, an existing website, Facebook, Blackboard)
- Plan your web content
- Consider branding implications
- Identify resources to build and maintain your web content
We also review and sign-off all new digital content to ensure it meets University of Reading standards and web accessibility guidelines.

The Digital Development forum is for anyone with an involvement or interest in the University's digital presence - no matter what your level of skill or knowledge.
Through a series of talks, seminars, and workshops the forum will provide the opportunity for members to: improve digital skills and knowledge; keep up with what's going on and what's coming up; share knowledge, ideas, and best practice with colleagues and contribute to the development of the University's digital presence.
Members of the forum also have access to guidance and resources via a blackboard wiki. Members are able to contribute to the wiki to share best practice.
