Returners - Halls Accommodation

Halls places for returning students

At the University of Reading we welcome applications from students wishing to stay in Hall accommodation beyond their first year. There are a number of rooms allocated to continuing students and we anticipate high demand so early application is advisable.

All the Halls of Residence are within close proximity of the Whiteknights Campus and the rent includes utility costs, internet access and insurance which makes budgeting easy. There is a wide range of accommodation available including standard single rooms, en-suite rooms, self-contained studios and the Stenton Townhouses which are brand new for 2012.

Further information on the Halls and room types available can be found on the Halls and the room types available can be found on the Individual Hall pages.

The benefits of living in Hall accommodation include:

  • The rent is all inclusive so there are no hidden costs
  • All rooms include internet access to the main University network
  • A convenient location, all Halls are either on the Whiteknights Campus or within easy walking distance
  • There is the opportunity to select a preference for the Hall and/or room type you want to live in
  • Group bookings are available so that you can live with your friends
  • Communal cleaning, maintenance and welfare support services are all included
