RISIS Training Sessions

Training sessions are provided for the following:

Staff who need access to the client server version of RISIS.  This would generally apply to those who have to carry out significant data upload or amendment, such as staff in Exams.  Client server access is only otherwise provided in exceptional cases. Training sessions are carried out on a largely bespoke basis and by arrangement with the Student Information Support Team (RISIS office). Training covers the basic needs for new users only: colleagues in the same team are required to cover specific processes as part of on-job training.

Staff who have need of specific functions on the RISIS portal.  This might mean those in specific roles when a new functionality is rolled out, or there may be training organised for a particular time of year to cover one of the main issues at that stage of the academic cycle.

Bespoke training may be available on request.

In all cases, please contact the Student Information Systems Team (RISIS office) on risis@reading.ac.uk to state your request.  Please note that at certain times of the year it will be difficult to arrange training quickly, and therefore it is helpful to request this some time in advance.
