Information and help for students

Log in with a username

If you are a current, enrolled student, and you have a University username, and have activated this, then you should log into the RISISweb portal putting your University username in the first box, and the password that you have set up for that username in the second box. You also use this username and password for access to webmail, to Blackboard, and to use computers on the University campus. If you can't remember your password for this username, then you will need to contact ITS who will then be able to help you to reset it. For further help follow the link below.

Failed student login

Log in with a student number

If you have not yet started your study at Reading, or if you have finished studying here and no longer have a username, you will be able to log into the RISISweb portal using your student number instead of a username and your date of birth (in the format ddmmyyyy) instead of a password. If you are a new student going through the enrolment process, you shouldcontinue to log in in this way until you have followed a link to activate your University username: as part of that process you will set up your University password too. For further help follow the link below.
