RISIS- Reading Integrated Student Information System

RISIS stands for Reading Integrated Student Information System. It is the University's name for a combination of databases which hold academic and personal data for students. RISIS is made up of the following software systems:

  • SITS, which holds student personal and academic information
  • PAMS, which holds students' accommodation information
  • More recently RISIS has also incorporated the use of Henley Vision database as a result of the merger with Henley Management College.

Data from RISIS is transferred at regular intervals to the various databases used by the Finance Office, the Library, IT Services User Registration, Blackboard and the Room Booking and Timetabling Office.

SITS is supplied by Tribal Technology and PAMS is supplied by Occam.

The RISIS Development and Support Office (RISIS Office for short) is responsible for providing support for staff and student users and also for developing the system in response to the changing needs of the University.
