Coverage and currency

The Calendar on the web reproduces the Calendar as it is published in Autumn each year. Both the printed and web versions will be updated annually. In the event of an anomaly between the printed and web versions of the Calendar, the printed version will be regarded as the definitive source.

Accessing the calendar

Most of the sections of the Calendar on the web are in pdf format and so you will need to have a copy of Adobe Acrobat installed on your computer. If you do not have the Acrobat, you can download a free copy from the Adobe Acrobat Reader website.

Finding your way round the calendar

The Calendar on the web is made up of individual pdf files. These are held together by a contents page. To use the Calendar you should go to the contents page and select the appropriate section.

Syllabuses and programme specifications for undergraduate and taught postgraduate programmes

The Calendar publishes the lists of programme specifications for all of the University's undergraduate and taught postgraduate programmes from 2003-4 onwards. In previous years, documents providing 'descriptions' of programmes were available as follows:

  • 2002-3 programme specifications were available for all undergraduate programmes. Taught postgraduate programmes have either syllabus documents or programme specifications.
  • Pre 2002-3 syllabus documents available for all undergraduate and taught postgraduate programmes.

N.B. You should note that the syllabuses and programme specifications in the calendar refer to degree programmes commencing in those academic years and not to programmes which began in previous years and are still running.
