Dr Milan Radosavljevic
Dr Milan Radosavljevic graduated in Civil Engineering at the University of Maribor, Slovenia in 1997. Shortly afterwards he joined a medium sized Slovenian off-site construction company working as a Profit Centre Manager and Production Director. He later received a scholarship from the company for PhD research conducted in Construction Management Research Unit at the University of Dundee.
During this period he developed and implemented a new short-term planning methodology that increased labour productivity in the company by more than 30% and reduced total project costs by more than 6%. He received a PhD degree and was awarded the Fulton Prize for the best postgraduate thesis of the year by the Division of Civil Engineering in 2003. Since completing PhD he continued his successful work in the company before joining the Construction Information Technology Centre at the University of Maribor where he administered and co-ordinated several EU funded projects (ITC Euromaster, E-site, ITC@EDU).
He was invited back to Dundee at the end of 2003 and worked as a Teaching Fellow and Scottish Demonstration Projects Co-ordinator until October 2006. Major achievements of this period are complete revitalisation and restructuring of the Demonstration Programme, unique of its kind in the world. He joined the School of Construction Management and Engineering at the University of Reading as a Lecturer and School Director of Enterprise in October 2006.
His research interests include:
- Short-term planning and its impact on organisational behaviour (Process Planning Methodology)
- Sociosystemic perspective of firms as social autopoietic unities (Autokoinopoiesis)
- Developing a composite measure of organisational capacity to generate and perpetuate creative behaviour (Ideactivity)
- Understanding knowledge creation and retention processes (Knowledge Management)
- Understanding drivers of entrepreneurial behaviour (Entrepreneurship and Intrapreneurship)
