Context-aware services delivery in the construction supply chain
What is your research about?
This research explores the concept of Context-Aware services delivery in the construction industry supply chain. It aims to demonstrate how a combination of Context-Awareness, (by enabling better understanding of the project or user context) and Web Services (by supporting resource discovery and integration in a Context-Aware environment) can be used to facilitate supply chain interactions, thereby improving the construction project delivery process.
The scope of the research includes case studies, questionnaires, interviews, scenario generation, context modelling, and the development of a system framework and prototype demonstrator.

Why did you choose the University of Reading for your PhD?
I chose the University of Reading because it is a prestigious university. The School of Construction Management and Engineering has a particularly strong international profile for research and a very supportive PhD environment. The proximity to London is also a deciding factor.
