Background
It is now thirteen years since Sir John Egan published his seminal report Rethinking Construction on the UK construction sector in 1998. This was followed by similarly high-profile reviews of construction industry performance in Singapore and Hong Kong, in part inspired by the Egan Report. Despite contrasting contexts, in all three cases, the intention was to radically transform construction performance through a planned series of change initiatives.
Contents
This one-day seminar will shed critical new light on the construction sector improvement debate by drawing comparisons between structural characteristics of the three sectors, and exploring the relationship between espoused improvement recipes and the realities of change. The seminar is aimed at senior construction professionals interested in industry improvement.
