ICMR Massive Open Online Course

A MOOC or Massive Open Online Course is distance learning which offers courses made freely available online to a large number of people. It allows top teachers and researchers to reach many more people than through formal lectures on campus.

Heart Health:  A Beginner's Guide to Cardiovascular DiseaseThe ICMR at the University of Reading has produced a free online course to introduce the structure and function of the cardiovascular system and some of the conditions that can affect it. Short videos, weekly home practical exercises that you can watch or carry out, online discussion activities and weekly quizzes are used to introduce cardiovascular disease to the general public. This free course is run several times a year through FutureLearn.
