Funding
Funding for postgraduate study may be available through the AHRC (Arts and Humanities Research Council). In addition the University itself offers a few postgraduate studentships across all disciplines. The Faculty of Arts, Humanities and Social Science offer a few awards on a similar basis, although candidates will also be expected to apply for external awards.
Finally, some funding maybe available from the Department of History or the Graduate Centre for Medieval Studies in the form of bursaries to help full and part-time postgraduate students following one of the Masters Programmes.
Smaller sums of £50 to £200 may be made available to research students to help with their travel or other expenses. Contact a.h.harvey@reading.ac.uk for details of how to apply.
