Staff training & development

Woodland pathThe Graduate School, in collaboration with CQSD, is committed to supporting staff who are involved in supporting doctoral researchers.

Details of training and development sessions scheduled for the forthcoming academic year are below; staff can  book onto these sessions in the normal way via Employee Self Service:

Until then, much of the material covered in these sessions can be found in our page of Good practice guides.

In addition to these scheduled sessions, the Graduate School is prepared to offer bespoke session for Schools, in cases where the number of staff requiring training on a particular topic merits a School-specific session. If you would like to discuss the possibility of arranging such a session, please contact Professor Dianne Berry (

Research staff can find further information pertinent to their specific development needs on CQSDs dedicated pages.
