Key Facts

Before coming to Reading in early 1994 I was in the Earth Science Department in the University of Liverpool for three years as Senior Staff Demonstrator (a sort of junior lectureship) in Palaeontology and Sedimentology. My PhD, from the Bristol University, which I completed in 1991, was in the taphonomy of conodont microfossils. My first degree in geology, from Edinburgh University, having fired my enthusiasm for the Earth Sciences in general, and fossils in particular.
