Tuition fees, field classes and bursaries
The Erasmus exchange programme is funded by the European Union. Each participating student receives an Erasmus grant which contributes to travel and living costs, as well as further language tuition, if desired. Tuition fees and field classes are also included in the cost of the Erasmus exchange to partner institutions in Europe.
There is no guaranteed funding for study abroad to partner institutions in the USA or Australia, although some grants towards travel costs may be available via competitive travel bursaries.
"It was an amazing and positive experience. I enjoyed meeting people from all over the world and immersing myself in Norwegian culture. Due to my experience, I am now contemplating studying a master's abroad."
International field classes
In addition to the compulsory Year 1 field class in the UK that is included in the price of your undergraduate fees, students have the choice of a Year 2 field class to a destination ranging from European cities to Mediterranean landscapes. A significant number of students also choose to take an optional field class in their final year. The most popular destination is Iceland.
