Professor Emeritus Rob Potter

We are deeply saddened to announce that our dear colleague Rob Potter, Emeritus Professor and former Head of School, died on April 12th 2014. Rob was a leading academic in urban and development geographies, with particular reference to Caribbean development studies, an Academician of the Academy of Social Sciences and he was awarded a higher doctorate degree of DSc by the University of Reading for his outstanding contributions to the field. Rob was also a gifted teacher, inspirational supervisor and trusted colleague, and his scholarship and leadership were tremendously important to our School. He is greatly missed and we are currently planning a memorial page to honour his achievements. In the meantime, please contact Dr Sally Lloyd-Evans if you require any further information - s.lloyd-evans@reading.ac.uk.
