Working with Organisations

We work with organisations in several ways. Here are some examples:

We provide consultancy in the application of Geographical Information System (GIS) technology for landscape mapping and ecological restoration. Clients include local authorities at county/district level, national UK agencies (DEFRA, Natural England) and overseas governments, most recently in Cyprus, and for the United Nations Development Programme, in other parts of the Mediterranean. In partnership with private sector organisations we have also been involved in developing software to assist with habitat restoration and ecological network analysis at landscape scales.

Groundwork Thames Valley (GTV) is an independent social environmental and economic regeneration charity working with the neediest communities in the Thames Valley and Heathrow areas through projects that unite people and the environment. GTV staff kindly helps groups of students with their course work for the year 2 Team Projects module
