Staff Profile:Dr Bill Prosser

Name:
Dr Bill Prosser
Job Title:
Senior Research Fellow
Responsibilities:
  • Research by artistic practice and publication for the Leverhulme Trust-funded 'Beckett and the Phenomenology of Doodles' research project
Areas of Interest:

I worked for many years as an illustrator, making numerous drawings for a very wide variety of clients, but for the last ten years I have focussed solely on my own practice, which is to use drawing as a means of exploring the reciprocal relationship between inner and outer experiences. My continuing focus on the history and current use of drawing in all its forms, particularly its similarities with and differences from written texts, underpins both my visual and written work.
