Draft Spreadable Fats (Marketing Standards)(Amendment) Regulations 1997
In addition to providing details of EC developments (see EC News, 30
September 1997), the MAFF letter also contains draft Spreadable Fats (Marketing
Standards)(Amendment) Regulations 1997.
These draft Regulations will amend the Spreadable Fats (Marketing Standards) Regulations 1995, to include reference to the 3 Commission Regulations agreed in 1997 (577/97/EC, 1278/97/EC and one further unpublished Regulation agreed in September) so that enforcement and penalty provisions are extended to them.
The Ministry has requested comments by 28 November 1997.
