Food (Lot Marking) Regulations 1996 - Guidance Notes
In addition to circulating the revised Guidance Notes for the Food Labelling Regulations (as circulated by MAFF on the 7 February and noted below), the Scottish letter circulates a copy of the revised Guidance Notes for the Lot Marking Regulations. With regard to this, the letter states that they explain the purpose of the Regulations, who is responsible for determining the size of lot, the manner of marking (including bulk packaging) and the exemptions. Copies of the notes can be obtained from the Scottish Office (and presumably MAFF).
