FSA News item, 20 September 2004
From today the Food Standards Agency has a new structure that will reflect
its new strategic plan. Some of the Agency's key departments have been restructured
so the organisation reflects more closely the focus of the Agency's work over
the next 3-5 years.
This has involved the creation of a new group headed by a Director of Consumer
Choice and Dietary Health, which will focus on the Agency's nutrition agenda,
and a refocusing of some of the work areas at Divisional level.
Although not yet fully in place, the key changes will be effective from 20 September 2004. An organisation chart on the FSA web site provides a complete picture of the main areas of responsibility from that date - see: http://www.food.gov.uk/multimedia/pdfs/structure.pdf
