CODEX COMMITTEE ON NATURAL MINERAL WATERS (SIXTH SESSION)
Bern, Switzerland 19 - 21 November 1998
The Sixth Session of the Codex Committee on Natural Mineral Waters reached the following conclusions:
Matters Of Interest to The Commission
The Committee:
- agreed to retain the Proposed Draft General Standard for Packaged (Bottled) DrinkingWaters (Other Than Natural Mineral Waters) for further comments and consideration;
- refer the Health Related Substances to CCFAC for consideration;
- invite governments and international organizations to provide comments on the need of inclusion in the Proposed Standard and wording of definition on Mineral water;
- decided to forward the definition of Commercial Sterility to the Codex Committee on Food hygiene for the developing it in framework of the Draft Code of Hygienic Practice for Bottled/Packaged Drinking Waters (Other Than Natural Mineral Waters).
