DISPUTE SETTLEMENT/LABELLING  - Panel meeting on Country of Origin Labelling (COOL) dispute opened to the public

At the request of the parties in the dispute US Certain Country of Origin Labelling (COOL) Requirements (DS384/DS386), the Panel has agreed to open its second substantive meeting with the parties on 1 and 2 December 2010 with a session open to public viewing at the WTO Headquarters in Geneva.

At the request of the parties in the dispute US — COOL (DS384/DS386), the Panel has agreed to start its meeting with the parties on 1 December 2010 with a session open to public viewing at the WTO Headquarters in Geneva. This public session is expected to start at 10.00 am on 1 December and the public viewing will take place via a real time closed-circuit television broadcast. The public session of the Panel meeting with the parties will continue on 2 December.

The number of places in the viewing room reserved for the public will be allocated on a first-come first-served basis upon receipt of the completed  registration form. Completed forms should be sent by e-mail only to the following address: openhearingDS384_386@wto.org. Applications will be accepted until 5.30 pm, Geneva time, on 25 November 2010. Please note that the names of those who have registered will be communicated to the parties and third parties in the dispute: US — Certain Country of Origin Labelling (COOL) Requirements (DS384/DS386).
