Codex Committee on Cocoa Products and Chocolate (18th Session)

• Propose the revised Draft Standard for Cocoa Butter to the Codex Alimentarius Commission for final adoption;
• Propose the renamed revised Draft Standard for Cocoa (Cacao) Mass (Cocoa/Chocolate Liquor) and Cocoa Cake to the Codex Alimentarius Commission for final adoption;
• Propose the revised Draft Standard for Cocoa Powders (Cocoas) and Dry Mixtures of Cocoa and Sugars to the Codex Alimentarius Commission for final adoption;
• Advance the Proposed Draft Standard for Chocolate and Chocolate Products for further consideration by the Codex Alimentarius Commission and noted that considerable progress had been made on the most difficult issues surrounding this standard, as the incorporation of vegetable fats into Chocolate and Chocolate products under specific labelling requirements.
