Amendment to Import Controls on Animal Products

• Commission Decision (98/622/EC) of 27 October 1998 concerning the importation of certain live animals and animal products from Zimbabwe and the Falkland Islands and amending Council Decision 79/542/EEC

Following Community veterinary missions to both Zimbabwe and the Falkland Islands changes are being made to the list of approvals. Both countries are to be added to the list of third countries from which Member States authorise imports of meat of wild animals. The Falkland Islands are added to the list of third countries from which Member States authorise imports of live animals and meat of bovine and ovine species.

To make these changes, Part 1 of the Annex to this new Decision replaces Part 1 to the Annex to Decision 79/542/EEC
