EU Council Meeting, 25-26 September 2014
The following is an extract from the minutes of the Competiveness Council meeting held on 25th – 26th September 2014:
The Council decided not to oppose the adoption of a regulation amending annex I to regulation 1334/2008 related to the European Food Safety Agency's completion of its assessment of eight substances which are currently listed as flavouring substances under evaluation.
The Commission regulation is subject to the regulatory procedure with scrutiny. This means that now that the Council has given its consent, the Commission may adopt it, unless the European Parliament objects.
