EFSA News in brief, 3 September 2014
EFSA has published the full text of its first food enzyme evaluations following an agreement on business information between the European Commission and the enzyme producer. Summaries of the first batch of food enzyme opinions were published earlier this year and heralded the start of a new chapter in EFSA’s work. EFSA’s Panel on Food Contact Materials, Enzymes, Flavourings and Processing Aids will carry out safety assessments on around 300 food enzyme applications in the coming years.
