Council Press Release, 2 and 3 December 2013
The following is an extract from the minutes of the Competitiveness (Internal Market, Industry, Research and Space) meeting held in Brussels, 2 and 3 December 2013
The Council decided not to oppose the adoption of a Commission regulation authorising ChromoPrecise® chromium yeast for the manufacture of food supplements and chromium(III) lacdtate tri-hydrate to be added to foods, provided that certain conditions are met (15294/13). The Commission regulation is subject to the so called regulatory procedure with scrutiny. This means that now that the Council has given its consent, the Commission may adopt it, unless the European Parliament objects.
