The following is an extract from the minutes of the General Affairs Council Meeting
The Council decided not to oppose adoption by the Commission of a regulation amending and correcting Commission regulation 10/2011 on plastic materials and articles intended to come into contact with food (14633/11).
The draft regulation is subject to the so called regulatory procedure with scrutiny. This means that now that the Council has given its consent, the Commission may adopt it, unless the European Parliament objects.
