Council Minutes, 20 November 2009
The following is an extract from the minutes of the Agriculture Council Meeting on 20 November 2009:
The Council noted the absence of the qualified majority necessary to reach a decision for or against a draft decision authorising the placing on the market of products containing, consisting of, or produced from genetically modified maize MIR604 (SYN-IR6Ø4-5) pursuant to Regulation (EC) No 1829/2003 of the European Parliament and of the Council ( 15375/09 ).
The Council having concluded its proceedings on this matter, the Commission is now entitled to finalise the decision-making procedure on these issues.
