The following is an extract from the first part of the Minutes of the Competitiveness (Internal Market, Industry and Research) Council Meeting held on 28 May.
The Council adopted a directive on the exploitation and marketing of natural mineral waters (3695/08), following a first reading agreement with the European Parliament. The new directive aims at codifying directive 80/777 and bringing it into line with the new comitology rules.
