IMPORTS - Council discussions: Proposal for establishment of a Community Agency coordinating veterinary and food border controls

The following is an extract from the Agriculture and Fisheries Council meeting, 23 and 24 June 2008

Request by the Latvian delegation (10922/08)

The Council took note of the suggestion made by the Latvian delegation to create an Agency aimed at better coordinating and harmonising the implementation of the Community legislation on official border checks on imports, exports and transit of goods.
