NOVEL FOODS - The placing on the market of coagulated potato protein and hydrolysates
Opinion on a draft Commission decision authorising the placing on the market of coagulated potato protein and hydrolysates thereof as novel food ingredients under Regulation (EC) N° 258/97 of the European Parliament and of the Council.
The Committee delivered a unanimous favourable opinion on the draft Commission Decision. The Member States and the Commission agreed to the following being entered in the minutes:
The levels of sulphites in coagulated potato proteins and hydrolysates thereof have to comply with the levels set for the final food into which the ingredient is incorporated, as laid down in European Parliament and Council Directive 95/2/EC on food additives other than colours and sweeteners.
