MEAT HYGIENE - FSA welcomes the successful prosecution of Country Tastes Ltd t/a Neil Powell Catering, a cutting plant in Hereford

We welcome the successful prosecution of Country Tastes Ltd t/a Neil Powell Catering. The company pleaded guilty to an offence concerning dirty plastic re-usable trays from September 2018 at Hereford Magistrates Court on 27 January.

The company, which operates a red and white meat cutting plant in Hereford, was fined a total of £9,682.20 which includes the prosecution costs of £6,501.20 and a victim surcharge of £181.

Martin Evans, FSA Head of Field Operations said:

‘We take breaches of all hygiene regulations seriously and I am pleased that this company has been held accountable for breaking these rules.’
