The following is an extract from the minutes of the Competitiveness (Internal Market, Industry, Research and Space) Council meeting on the 28 and 29 November 2016
The Council decided not to oppose the adoption of a Commission regulation amending regulation 178/2002 as regards the names and the areas of competence of the scientific panels of the European Food Safety Authority (see 13896/16).
Regulation 178/2002 lays down the general principles and requirements of food law, establishes the European Food Safety Authority and lays down procedures in matters of food safety.
