Manner of marking or labelling: 'x-height'

Ths size of text used to provide the mandatory information is defined by reference to the 'x-height'. What this means is shown in a figure in Annex IV:

The 'x-height' of text shall be equal to or greater that 1.2mm unless the 'largest surface has an area less than 80 cm2' in which case the x-height is equal to or greater than 0.9mm.
